- 2 tablespoons fat
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/2 cup cream
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cups boiling water
- 2 cups mushrooms, fresh or canned
Make a sauce of the fat, flour, cream, and seasoning. Prepare mushrooms
and stew them in boiling water until tender. Add, without draining, to cream
sauce. Serve very hot.
Make sure that the mushrooms you use are store bought, not hand-picked in the wild.
