by Dan Herrera

Eons ago in our own space,
Orcs and Fey walked in your place.
And my one love was never soft,
She kept me untouched death held aloft,
Against twisted goblins, and spiders vile,
Yet I preyed for death my soul retire.
To Elysian realm of forests ever green,
To walk beloved peace by friends,
And never a war tear made to glean.
But in this corrupted mortal land,
far across the havens and the brine,
I stand the noblest, ancient Fingolfin
My struggle is for my peace or an end to him,
Who blackens the forests and blights our verdant sward,
And took my kin forcing my unbreakable swerd.
I’ll ride him down and challenge him face to face.
I fear not his power or adumbrating hate,
As I ride on in fury, Destier sheds nor strays,
And the dark creatures flee my undauntable race.
For I to them am nether man nor elf,
But countenance of the Rider God,
Dread terror awed from myself.
But win or fall it be all the same,
As long as night ended and darkness slain.
