"Taniquetil"
by Andreth
My dreams are all fulfilled, my hope is sight!
For looming up against the sky it stands
The Holy Mountain, wrapped in whitest white,
And at its feet the blessed Undying Lands.
My ship had wandered long upon the sea,
And I was torn by famine and by storm.
At last above the wrack I lifted free,
Sailed seas of glass until the light of morn.
What pain! What bliss! More cold than death thou art.
Immutable. The silence is so deep
It brings great awe and longing to my heart.
Upon my knees I fall, and laughing weep.
Immortal peak more lofty than the sky;
I look upon your face, with joy I die.
