After Howe and Lee, Ted Nasmith is the most respected of the popular LotR artists. His specialty is landscapes: both the lush greens of forests and the ghastly grays of wastelands.
When Nasmith was a teenager, he sent some of his work to Tolkien to seek the author's approval - and got it. The portrait at left comes from his official website. Other Nasmith pictures may be found (and ordered) at the Chalk Farm Gallery. |

Because I have so many pictures by Ted Nasmith, I have grouped them according to the book they illustrate.
