- The Digital Middle Earth Project: This ambitious digital landscape artist is creating a 3D landscape of all of Middle-Earth, complete with animations and 360° virtual tours. - Dan Smith's Fantasy Fonts for Windows: Download Tolkien's Tengwar and Cirith Fonts.
- DreamBorn/Middle-Earth Flies: Explore fly fishing opportunities in Middle-Earth at this truly unique site.
- E! Online's "Force of Hobbit" series: E! Online sent a reporter to New Zealand to cover the LotR movie production and send back monthly reports. This reporter had the kind of set access any LotR fan would kill for. Unfortunately, this reporter is not a LotR fan; he hasn't even read the books, as he makes painfully obvious from time to time. Still, if you can get past the occasional glaring factual errors, you'll learn a lot about the film production here -- and you'll find some unique pictures, as well.

At least two so-called reputable journalists who hadn't read LotR and couldn't be bothered to do so even though they were assigned to write articles about it, tried to use the Tolkien Sarcasm's page's synopsis as Cliffs Notes. The result? Well, among other things, Radagast became a balrog and Galadriel developed an evil sister named Beruthiel.
